Ilexa Yardley, Conservation of the Circle,

and The Circular Theory

By trade, Ilexa Yardley is a financial professional.

In her spare time, and quite by accident, Yardley figured out the circle is the obvious scientific  dynamic present within, producing, connecting, separating,  underlying, overriding, and explaining, all entities, processes  and systems (so obvious we're all, on some practical level, 'missing' it, and, yet, on another more intuitive level, we totally 'get it'); thus, this web-site.

Yardley has garnered the attention of Nobel Laureate Brian Josephson who was, separately, working on similar ideas. Together they are working to articulate the Circular Theory for mainstream physicists via the Mind-Matter-Unification project at Cambridge University.

According to Yardley's theory, the circle explains why (and how) we're here: as we move, survive, reproduce, we are producing the movement, survival and reproduction of the circle. Any two anythings create an invisible, imaginary line which must always be the invisible, imaginary diameter of an invisible, imaginary circle. Everthing is in a circle with the circle, so, therefore, the circle is the most basic dynamic (involved and responsible for everything and anything, past, present, future). And, yes, this is circular (it has to be because reality is circular, repetitive, cyclical, etc...). That is, the circle circles.

To put it succinctly, (in foundational physics) circle and line are more accurate words for particle and force, dimension (vibration) and string, mass and energy, matter and mind. The circle is expressing itself via (through, using) 'us' (universes, particles, photons, cells, people). The circle is the gravity (glue) that is holding everything together (keeping everything apart).

The circle has three parts: pi, diameter, circumference. This is the basis for one, two, three which are always coupled together and found in all entities and processes (three sets of two, and-or-always, two sets of three). This produces line which is also (sometimes) curve (yin, yang). This makes the absolute relative,  the abstract concrete, and the hidden show.

Because pi holds diameter and circumference together, any single entity is always made up of (at least) two entities (entity-sub-entity, entity-process). Circle-line as basis also makes all names interchangeable (day is night, large is small, fast is slow). Circle ties one to many (one is two is many).

According to Yardley's 'Circular Theory,' the circle is an omnipresent, ubiquitous, unifying entity, process, and system (argument, opposition, dynamic)  responsible for, articulated as, and proven not only by science,  but by philosophy (religion), psychology, economics, history, politics, mathematics and the arts  as well (all symbol sets articulate the ubiquitous circle as an unending movement of opposite pairs).

Yardley's books, Absolute Intelligence, Relative Realities, Opposite Approach, Partial Truth, and web-site, Circular-Theory.com, articulate the scientific principal, Conservation of the Circle, the most basic of basic ideas; that is, the circle is the basis for (creates and is) reality. The circle is beneath all human and other dynamics (cosmology, biology, physics, chemistry, mathematics).

Conservation of the Circle, or the 'Circular Theory,' is this: the circle conserves and preserves  itself by expressing through (as) ALL entities, processes and systems, as an infinite, absolute, and relative set of opposite pairs, providing, and producing, the 'why' and 'how' (and also the 'what,' 'where,' 'when') for everything.

All entities, real, ideal, physical, and symbolic, occur as one side of an opposite pair, and every opposite pair is the diameter of an invisible, imaginary, circle. The circle causes the circle (particle is wave; substance is movement) creating everything else in, and as, its process. Everything is, in one way or another, a circle.

Any two anythings, and every two everythings, form an opposite pair. The 'circle' is always present within every (any) opposite pair. The circle between, and-or around, any two entities is the basic, or absolute, intelligence (equally) available to all entities.

The circle presenting itself as (in a circle with) a line, triangle, square, star, or any other shape, is the unifying dynamic, principal, and process available to all entities. Hierarchy is always a circle of circles. The triangle is always a partial truth or a relative reality for the circle, so, therefore, no anything can dominate any everything for long. That is, everything is, very obviously, temporary (absolutely relative).

All relationships are circular (and this is a staggering thought). The circle is the obvious unifier (what some of us have previously named 'god.') (Don't panic here. What we are  saying (seeing) is because (as, if) the circle is the underlying, ubiquitous dynamic, the underlying idea of unity is true, no matter what you call it. We have multiple symbol sets, or religions, or sciences, describing the same unified entity, process, system, reality, infinity, intelligence, relativity, and this, on some level, we all intuitively 'know.')

Survival and reproduction of the circle (opposites) is the basis for survival and reproduction of any species (entity, process, system). Survival and reproduction are in a basic circle; that is we survive to reproduce and we reproduce to survive. Survival and reproduction in biology is conservation and symmetry in physics (Noether's theorem). Movement is a type of survival and reproduction (one entity in two places).

Cycles (weather, photosynthesis, business and historical) and oscillations (waves, beats, digital and analog) are obvious circles. The sine wave and the bell curve, basic scientific measurement tools, are both, obviously, circles. A heartbeat and a reproductive cycle are circles (circling). Only a circle, then, can create, or produce, a circle.

It is easiest to 'see' or 'observe' the circle as a waveform, or movement, ignoring time and-or space (a collapsed wave form). Time is a line, when space is a curve, and time is a curve when space is a line, because diameter and circumference are tied together in a mandatory relationship by pi, otherwise known as movement. (We have to stop movement to see the circle-line foundation).

According to Yardley, Conservation of the Circle is the (obvious) basis for Einstein's Conservation of Energy. Energy and mass are in a circular relationship with each other creating, always, light (a.k.a. sun, rotation, revolution). Conservation of Form provides the missing puzzle piece, analogous to Einstein's theory, because form and substance are also in a circular relationship with each other, creating, always, sound (a substance that is predominantly-purely-uniquely form).

Conservation of the Circle ties light and sound together (solving the problem of 'gravity'). "Once we see that light (linear movement or line) and sound (circular movement or curve) are different expressions or versions of the same 'circle' (movement), we have solved all of our remaining puzzles and mysteries (any and every movement is a circle, and everything 'moves;' sound and light are circular and linear movement creating integrated circles of varying size and speed; every wave, oscillation, or 'beat,' no matter its shape, is a circle)." Every entity is some combination of sound (curve/size) and light (line/speed) (and, thus, a 'beat' or oscillation). Light is another word for movement so we can notice all entities move (light) and make noise (sound). Movement and noise are joined together by (in, because of) a circle.

To understand any single entity or process we must always analyze it against, and with, its opposite entity or process. All entities and processes are comprised of a set of opposite entities and processes. Any anything will always turn into its opposite everything because anything must be in a circle with everything. Anger, as an example, is in a circle with laughter, so we can choose to become upset by the ubiquitous circle (the sun in some supposed obstinate center somewhere) or we can just laugh about it (the earth in a continual circle with the sun).

Understanding that the extraordinarily simple circle creates a set of circles so complex we cannot 'see' them is a breathtaking insight that anyone can experience (all entities are 'circles' and all circles, independent of size, speed or location, are the same).

According to Yardley, Conservation of the Circle, the circle beneath EVERY opposite pair, is certainly the most basic, and, therefore, the most important, idea, and discovery, of all timeConservation of the Circle unifies, integrates, and equalizes, all people (places and things), and is, therefore, an essential, basic, creative, and hopeful humanistic idea, principal, and process.

Any entity is in a circle with any other entity (idea or representation) and, therefore, it is easy to figure everything out: whatever is true is false and whatever is false is true; the opposite is always also true, and will definitely present itself in the immediate future, is presenting itself right now; we can never eliminate an opposite anything.

Therefore, we have to rethink our ideas of good and bad, right and wrong, true and false. Where we place our attention, or what we think, is truth for us, and no one can provide, produce, or dictate the truth for anyone else. It is all about the individual (matter is in a circle with mind, so, therefore, any entity must determine its own reality by the choice of its thoughts).

Over time, individuals will (must) produce a reality which is evenly divided between two opposing thoughts or ideas. How to live peacefully with this? Disconnect, ignore, enjoy silence, stillness, individuality. We are peaceful, and safe, as soon as we see, and then say, we are individualy peaceful and safe. Individual peace and safety produces global peace and safety, and individual peace and safety comes from how we think, and not what is present around us.

Yardley's ideas integrate, and build on, the work of Thales, Pythagoras, Plato, Aristotle, Hegel, Einstein, Jung, Newton and Noether. Conservation of the Circle is the physicist's 'theory of everything' and the philosopher's 'infinite intelligence,' solving the problem, finally, of the relationship between science and religion, and answering the age-old questions, 'why are we here' and 'how do we operate.' All entities, according to Yardley's theory, are circles circling circles. The circle integrates everything with everything because all circles, independent of size, speed or location, are the same (in one dimension, all pi). The circle is the entity and process beneath all entities and processes.

A basic oscillation, cycle, or movement of any kind, is a circle circling. Any supposed 'entity' is a circle circled (enclosed or encircled), a circle of circles. Circle, circling, circled are all circles, and circles is always 'a' or 'the' circle. A scalar (linear) entity or process must always be a vector (circular) entity or process. Linear is circular because the line is always the diameter (and circumference) of some (the same) circle.

Yardley holds an MBA in finance from New York University as well as masters and bachelors degrees in education from the State University of New York. She also attended Harvard, Columbia and Rice Universities as a post-graduate student studying psychology, physics, mathematics, and philosophy. Yardley's clients and employers have included A T &T, Mobil Oil, Phillip Morris, Bank of New York, Deutsche Banke, Credit Suisse First Boston, Merrill Lynch, and the US Treasury/Internal Revenue Service. Finance and economics, commerce and trade, price and price movement are all based on the circle (cycles). An individual's relationship to the, or a, market is a circle (circling circles). Investment, saving and spending are all created by, and creating, circles of circles.

Circles in Finance

In finance, the circle is obvious: assets, liabilities, income, and expenses are connected and bound by the circle (an asset is always a liability, income is always an expense and vice versa). Permanent prosperity is totally accessible as we decide to apply circular principals in finance (this comes from how we think: we always have more than we need, or want, if we think this, totally independent of what we actually have, need, and-or want). Intelligent economies are organized using the circular idea that have, need and want are in an obvious circle (one, two, three circles), and any market participant is in a circle with any market. Therefore, the circle is the most basic market and the individual, as a circle, is always available to, and in the process of, aligning with, any (and all) market(s).

The individual market participant decides what the market is along with the market. These are independent and co-dependent at the same time. Therefore, what the individual thinks about the market (and vice versa) is what creates any movement in and of the market (circularity) and also what (or who) is the market. Any market is comprised of have, want, need, and these, also, are basic circles in a circle with each other. So if market participants believe they have more than they want and need from any market they are 'wealthy' (and vice versa).  So there is a continual yin and yang dynamic present within any market (market and individual go back and forth between who is more 'wealthy').

It is the belief the market will make the individual more wealthy that causes any market to expand; that is, it is the idea of expansion that creates expansion, and expansion, like everything else is nothing more, or less, then a circle circling (as it circles it gets larger or smaller or both, according to what the observer, or participant, decides to observe). The individual is already (always) the market (and vice versa) and neither the market nor the individual has more (or less) power or is more (or less) intelligent. The equilibrium between them is caused by the circle between them and this circle is always stable (present, dynamic).

Any movement, then, is in one sense, an illusion (movement in any direction is absolute, infinite and relative movement). Intuitively, all people 'get' this; that is, people participate when people are participating (and vice versa). Participation produces participation as belief in participation produces belief in participation etc.

Without 'belief,' participation is impossible (without the idea, reality is non-existent). One person cannot produce belief in another. Only an individual produces belief (for him-her-itself, alone).  Any market, then (circle between any two anythings), is a competition for belief (an unending set of two opposing beliefs). The belief that best provides and produces survival and reproduction of any entity is the belief that survives and reproduces (all beliefs are circles in a circle with believers - neither has more or less power). Belief, however, remains in the domain of an individual (entity, process, system, circle, circling, circled).

Individual - market - belief are three circles in a circle.

The size of a project, or fortune, is always determined by what the circler (person) decides to circle. Stability and certainty in finance (as in all entities, processes, systems) comes from a proper understanding (and application) of circular dynamics (the circle or cycle is certain, therefore we can plan for disaster (global, national and personal) by saving (taxing) no more, and no less, than 25%). Interest rates should float no more and no less than 25% in both directions (positive and negative).

That is, we should all be prepared to prosper and flounder in a continual circle (cycle). The rest takes care of itself (the circle is in charge, not us). (It is not possible to succeed or fail one hundred percent of any timeframe.)

Because the circle is a guaranteed 49-51%, every other day, every other person will decide to notice and benefit from this simple statement: everything's a circle (no use arguing, 100% will NEVER agree on anything). Because the circle means everything is 50-50, we ALL have a shot at everything, at least sometimes, and this is the underlying foundation, or basis, for equality.

o

Conservation of the Circle is the idea we need, and, now, have, to achieve perpetual and sustainable world peace and prosperity because the circle is the basis for conflict, arguments and a guaranteed 'at least' two points of view (two realities always turn into one and one reality always turns into two). We can be fooled into thinking we are on a line (moving toward a future that never comes) until it becomes obvious any line must be the diameter of a circle. The line and circle can never be separated (and this corrects all observation errors; that is, future and past are always present).

So, now that we understand the dynamic, we certainly can optimize our existence using it. Some obvious applications: basic research, government policy and strategy, strategic financial analysis (corporate and personal), global, corporate and personal conflict resolution, global resource allocation, economic analysis, global marketplace restructuring, harvesting energy from ubiquitous oscillations in plants, but, most important, individual thought and attention management which can only be actualized by an individual).

The Circular Theory is currently under scientific review. Nobel Laureate Brian Josephson, Phd, has discussed how it can be modeled for more rigorous scientific study in a talk to Nobel Laureate physicists at Lindau (July 2008) entitled 'Which Way for Physics?' (edited version on Google). Yardley and Josephson are collaborating to incorporate these ideas into the physics lexicon as a part of his Mind-Matter Unification Project of the Theory of Condensed Matter Group at the Cavendish Laboratory, Cambridge University.

If you are a physicist, this is the unification idea (theory-of-everything) you (we) seek (need, now have). If you are an economist or a government executive, this material must be incorporated into your thinking and your work, otherwise you are taking us down a linear path to more circular (cyclical) (unnecessary) destruction.  If you are a financier, or a media professional, please help spread the word:Circularity: A Global Conversation, or contact Ilexa if you want to promote these ideas.

You can contact ilexa@msn.com for more information.  But, in general, just relax, enjoy, and prosper, from your new understanding.  Meditate, think, intuit, because, you're in your own circle, and, therefore, it's all about you!  You are peaceful and prosperous because you always have more than you want and-or need, no matter what is happening around you, because you are totally in control of your own ideas-thinking-mind. So thank you very much for your time and attention. Think peace and prosperity as-is-now (as-is-always).
